Travel goals are important to build a successful travel business.

Travel goals are important to build a successful travel business.

They are a way for a person or business to go from point A (where you are now) to point B(Where you want to be.)

Are they important for home based travel agents?

Do you own your business? Would you like to experience success?

Then you need a road map of where you are at this moment to where you want to be in say 1 year.

This action will help you weed out things that do not contribute to your business growth.

It is very important to put a time limit on the time you will give yourself to achieve your desired results.

ex. What if you want your travel business to reach $3000 a month within the next year. What goals would you need to lay down so that desired amount will be reached?

Make your ambitions realistic.

Continue to tweak and adjust your expectations accordingly.

When looking at your goals, make sure they include...

1. Be specific! ex. you want to make $100,000 in the next year and these are the steps you will take to reach it.

2.Be enthusiastic and positive, uplifting and exact. This will usually stoke your fire and give you extra energy.

3.Once again, be realistic!! Work your travel goals in small bits. One step at a time.

4.Know what a short term goals is. It usually last form 1 week to a year.

5. A long term goal usually last from 5, 10 or 20 years from now.

6.Take into consideration how much money you want to make each year when charting your growth.

7. What are you willing to do to make a better lifestyle for you? Your family? For others? Are you willing to travel? Move? How much time are you willing to put into your work? Are you willing to risk your assets?

8.You need to decide what type of work excites you.Whether you like working outdoors, in a office, with computers,on the phone, with a lot of people, with kids, etc.Set your goals towards making whatever decision fits your choice.

9.How large is your ego? How big of a role does it play where it concerns the size of your business? Can you be satisfied with a small business or does it have to be HUGE!

10. Be honest with your self about your travel business.Take a look at your business' strength and weaknesses.Your likes and dislikes and your ultimate goals. This allows you to confront dilemmas with greater confidence and a greater chance of success.

It is not just setting goals but putting in the time, effort and money to achieve whatever is your focus.

List the pros and cons of a goal.

Decide whether this goal will help you achieve the ultimate object.
