For a beginner these are the first steps to becoming a work at home travel agent.

For a newbie these are the first steps to becoming a work at home travel agent.

1. Connect with a travel agency. (check the host agencies page.)

You will be booking business through them and will be paid for the business by them.

Search Ask.com for more agencies but the two on the Host agencies page were two that I found to be good.

Check the BBB before commiting to an agency.

2.As an independent agent

You will have a choice between working for one agency or multiple ones.

3.Get business cards.

When getting business cards or letterheads to promote your business, remember to put your name or company name on them. Not the company's name. Remember you are a independent contractor. This is your business.

4. The benefit of being your own boss.

The benefit is the multiple roles you will be playing.

You are your own marketer, accountant and sales person so you can be more than just a travel agent.

YOU ARE THE BOSS!

It's all yours!

Yes! It is more work and responsibility but when the money starts coming in,it will be you enjoying the benefits.
