1.Know your stuff!!!!
If you do not know about your product or business, what do you expect your customer to think about the product?If you absolutely do not know. DON'T LIE!!!Be honest and let the customer know that you do not have the answer. You need to let them know that you will try to find the answer and get it to them as quickly as possible. Then go out and FIND the answer. If you can find the answer while with the customer,great. If not, give them specifics on the date and time you will be able to get back to them with the answer.
2. Give correct advice.
Customers want to be able to trust the advice you give as well as the information.If your product is not the solution to their problem. You need to direct them to the source that will answer their question. The worst thing you can do is give advice that just benefits your bottom line. Once your customer takes your advice and it does not work for them, you have most likely lost that customer. Listen, I am sure that you would want someone to give you truthful information that will help you. You should do the same for your customers. Especially if you want them to deal with you again. The rewards may not come right away but when they come, they will keep coming because of your integrity.
3. Meet your customers expectations but know what they are first.
4. Be a person of your word!
