Unfortunately, this has happened to my wife Mary and I a few times.

We found ourselves caught between coordinating vacation time off from our jobs and finding the money we needed to enjoy the vacation we deserved. We had to pass up several great vacations because of this so we decided it was time to free up both our time and our money.

We were told by a friend about an opportunity to own our own travel website and we decided it was time to take a serious look at this business plan. What we found got us very excited and led us into the growing travel industry as independent Travel Agents. Owning our own travel website allows us to book our vacations and business trips on our site and possibly save some money in the process. We can even allow family and friends to book all their trips on our website. This makes for one-stop travel shopping and we earn a little profit also.

Right now we are referring travel agents with Your Travel Business. We have been looking at some host agencies to work with. We want to see if that side of the travel business will be better for us.

Our major reason for building this website that you are visiting now was to share what we have learned about becoming a Travel Agent. Our goal is to report what we find and to let you in on the good, the bad and the ugly – if it rears its ugly head.

We want you to get a balanced view of the travel industry and on becoming a Travel Agent if you have the desire to pursue that career. There’s a lot of misinformation out there and we hope to straighten out the misunderstandings and give you the facts as we find them.
