The best type of advertising is word of mouth from your clients BUT these techniques can augment the (WOM) tatic and increase your client base.

Techniques such as:

Newsletters

Allows you a forum where you can talk at length about your services and specials.

They are easy to produce and cost effective. Using the digital way is more effective than print.

It is a good way to keep customers informed about your recent specials. they also help generate interest in new destinations and packages that you are offering.

A computer is the only piece of equipment you will need to create a newsletter.

You can use office software like Microsoft Office(which include a number of newsletter templates that you can create to your liking. Add your own creativity and words.

There are two kinds of newsletters used by travel professionals. 1)Informational and Hotsheets.

Informational Newsletters

They contain new travel packages and destinations,travel tips,advisories,biographies of the owner and staff if possible.

It will also include whatever is of importance to the traveler.

like profiles of selected destinations,checklist and quizzes.

You can use them for prospecting potential clients.newsletters to inform and touch base with existing clients regularly. This is good especially aroung peak vacation season.

HotSheets

They are more like an additional edition.

They provide "breaking news" about tour operators and airline specials. They talk about in house specials and other time sensitive information.

It is best worked throught by e-mail.

They love it when it is unsolicited submission because it is usually free.

Check into other entrepreneur start up groups and give your experience testimony on starting up a buisness.

Look into the local libraries for speaking engagements and other groups that are similar to your target market.

Lastly! Know your audience and give appropriate information and hopefully that will help your advertising.
