The JetBlue airlines experience was a good one for Mary and Me.

The JetBlue airlines experience turned out to be better than we thought. We had never flown on this airline before and did not know what to expect.

Mary and I had flown on Continental and U.S. Airways and both were Ok.

The first impression.

The first thing that gave me a favorable impression of this airline was the huge discount we received to Mexico(and this was BEFORE the swine flu situation).

The original price I saw was $756 but I wasn't able to purchase the tickets at the time. I checked back about a week later and the price went down to $567 for the both of us. Right there I was hooked.

But that wasn't the end.

Swine Flu again.

The swine flu threatened to cancel our trip to Mexico and the Domincan Republic was mentioned as a replacement. With that in mind we switched our tickets from Mexico to the D.R. which added an extra $244 to make up the difference in prices. Thank God the airline waived the fee or the price would have been a lot more.

Customer Service

The customer service reps were extremely helpful even though I called them at least eight times thinking about changing, asking about prices and what would happen if I did this type of thing.

We finally settled on going back to Mexico. they gave us our tickets at the reduced price and waived the fees.

The only down part was the $244 I charged to my credit card could not be cancelled so I had to pay it back.

I did get a $67 credit though from the airline.

On the Plane.

Once we got on the plane, there was a few empty seats(due to the swine flu situation).

Regardless, we had plenty of overhead room for our take on bags.

The leg room was incrediblely wide. I'm 5'11 with long legs and I was able to stretch out comfortably.

Food.

For our 3 plus hour plane ride going and coming, we were served a mixture of pretzels, chips and other assorted snacks as well as our choice of soda, juice and water.

Something to keep us occupied during the long flight.

The thing that pleased me the most was Direct tv was provided for all riders regardless of where you sat. I was able to keep my mind on something else besides the flight.

All in All

The flight attendents were nice and the pilots steadied the plane when needed. Most importantly, they got us to our destinations safely.

THANK GOD!!

Satisfaction.

I would fly JetBlue airlines again.
