They'll get to fill in a few of their travel details and they will present them with a spreadsheet with side-by-side comparisons of the most popular travel insurance policies.

They have a site called Alumni insurance program.com which caters to Alumni and may be less expensive than some of the other policies depending on their age and total coat of the trip. They also have a site called AlumniAbroad which is medical travel insurance.

A website called STATravel.com caters to students who want to travel.

It is best for your customers to pay for their travel with a credit card.

The benefits?

1)The potential ability to get money back if any of the travel arrangements failed to deliver.

2)When they use their card (depending on the company) travel benefits may come with it.

3)It's good to keep a paper trail to cover their backside.

4)There are differing policies for different situations, buy the policy that fits their need.

5)Trip interruption, trip cancellation, supplier default(also known as "financial default"), a trip delay benefit, and at least $25,000 worth of air evacuation insurance in the event of a medical emergency, should be included in their policy.

6)"Primary" should be what their insurance coverage says.

What does this mean?

The insurance company will pay you if the situation is covered by it.

You do not want to have "secondary" insurance where you would have to report your claim elsewhere(ex. To your homeownwer, health, etc.)

7)Do not buy insurance from no-insurance companies because they are accredited by the same bonding/reserve requirements that insurers are.

8)The insurer should have a rating of "A" or higher by AM Best.and "Best financial strength rating", "Best issuer credit rating"and "Best debt rating".

Check it out.
